We look for music that feels rooted, elemental, and timeless. Renaissance polyphony, Romantic part songs, contemporary choral works, Irish traditional arrangements, and everything in between. Every programme finds connections between landscape, memory, ritual, and the natural world.

The goal is not to perform only Irish music. It is to create programmes where music from many cultures speaks to the landscapes and seasons of Ireland.
A defining feature of Meitheal is our commitment to living repertoire. Every concert season includes newly created work, whether original compositions, arrangements, or collaborations with composers and artists.
We see composition as an ongoing conversation rather than an occasional event. Audiences get to experience new music sitting alongside established masterpieces, each one informing the other.
Our concerts aim to feel welcoming rather than formal. Spoken introductions, programme notes that explore Irish folklore and seasonal traditions, unusual venues, and opportunities to encounter music in unexpected places.
Warmth, atmosphere, and genuine connection matter more than ceremony. You do not need to know anything about choral music to walk through the door and feel at home.
